Richmond Times Dispatch: “Bank of America’s downtown Richmond building undergoing facelift”

Restoration work continued this week on the 24-story Bank of America Financial Center at 1111 E. Main St. in downtown Richmond. The multimillion-dollar renovation, which is scheduled to continue into early next year, includes refacing the exterior of the structure and upgrading the lobby and courtyard. The beige exterior of the building – purchased in February for $42 million by District Bay Realty Advisors, a Washington, D.C., real estate investment firm, and Joe Ersek, a Washington developer – will be recoated in a white masonry material that will give it a crisp, clean look and make it appear as if it is shimmering.
